Pocket Guide to the Apocalypse

For those of you who are part of the Families of Faith study in The Revelation, and who need a little break from the mind-bending mysteries of the last book in scripture, check out The Pocket Guide to the Apocalypse, which is currently being offered in the Relevant bookstore.

I haven't read it, but this book looks hilarious. If you want to see a sample of its contents, follow the link in the last paragraph, and read through some of the entries in the sample chapter called the "Apocalyptionary."

I like the style of this book. Both fun and educational. Dare I say that it looks "cool"? (Ohhhh, maybe not...)

Completely unrelated comment.....I would love for you to review the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy movie when you see it. I haven't read the books, but I think I would probably like them. The question I have is, should I try to read before the movie or would it be okay to see the movie first? Thanks!!!

Jenni-

I'll let you know what I think about the movie when I see it, which probably won't be tonight. Its getting pretty decent reviews, though.

The books are worth reading, regardless of whether you see the movie, and I suspect that the movie script has probably been written so that people who haven't read the books can still enjoy the film. I don't know that for a fact. It just makes good sense in marketing terms.
