Wordpress?
Any Wordpress bloggers out there this weekend? How do you like it? How does it compare to Blogger?
I tried setting up a test blog on Wordpress tonight. It seems to be a little faster and a little more tightly integrated (I especially like the ability to tag my posts without having to generate my own HTML), but I could NOT figure out how to edit templates. I don't know - maybe the ability to edit a template doesn't come with the (free) basic package.
What advantages would there be to a switch? What disadvantages?

WordPress is much better, but I believe you are talking about WordPress.com. I use WP to power my own hosted blog, as do many, many other CoC bloggers, including our preacher. Currently, the hosted version (the free .com place) does not allow the ability to edit templates because of the potential security risks. But, the self-hosted version allows complete control.
Check out the guy that hosts me, Preacher Mike, Travis Stanley, and about 20 other CoC bloggers at WebbleYou Hosting/
If you are referring to the hosted service at www.wordpress.com, I don't believe that you can edit templates on that service.
If you want complete control over your enviroment, you need to running WordPress on a web host.

Thanks, guys, for the help.
Hmm... I guess you guys are right. I thought Wordpress.com said that it was powered by Wordpress, but I might be wrong.
In the meantime, off to Webble...
